Great American Writers' Camp
06.17.2014 - 06.21.2014
Established in 2011, The Great American Writers’ Camp is back again with exciting writing activities, strategies and projects. At this 5-day camp, blossoming young writers will hone their skills and styles as they learn to take ideas and develop them into coherent stories, poems, arguments, speeches and more. Working intermittently in groups, individually, and one-on-one with instructors, students will begin to see how their ideas and words reflect and affect the world around them. The camp was founded and is directed by Catherine Riley with the help of WFU undergraduate interns and is sponsored by the WFU Communication Department. For students entering grades 5-8 in Fall, 2014. Registration due May 1.
