This workshop is for both published and yet-to-be published writers who wish to craft a marketing and branding strategy for getting the word out about their books via social media networking, websites, blogs, and the good old-fashioned way with press releases and media contacts. If no one knows who you are, how will they buy your book? Alice Osborn will provide tips and tricks from her own experience as a successful published writer/editor and will address publicity/marketing tips for both traditionally and self-published authors. Alice uses social media daily to connect, network and grow her business, which she started six years ago. This workshop series will address "new" media such as blogs, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn, as well as "traditional" media such as press releases, query letters and face-to-face networking.
