.... to Joseph Cavano.  His short story, “The Honey Wagon,” was awarded second place in this year’s Doris Betts Fiction Contest.  Final judge and NCLR editor Lisa Wieland, found the story “remarkable”  for its use of a young narrator who “grows subtly  but surely and gracefully in the course of twenty pages.”  The story will appear in the 2012 summer issue of the North Carolina Literary Review.
