Hats Off! to Tamra Wilson, whose story, "December Bride," is the first-place winner in the 2012 Charlotte Writers Club Children's Story Contest. She previously won the award in 1999 and 2005. Wilson's short-story collection, Dining with Robert Redford & Other Stories (Little Creek Books, 2011), has been reviewed in current issues of Shenandoah (online) and the North Carolina Literary Review. She is to be a short-story panelist at the Virginia Festival for the Book in Charlottesville on March 23, 2012.
