Hats off to Jan B. Parker. Her flash fiction "For The Love of a Good Ending" will be fall-published in Press 53's What Doesn't Kill You and another flash, "Where Bugs Walk On Water" will soon be published in the quarterly journal, Main Street Rag.

... to Marjorie Hudson. The North Carolina Arts Council has awarded her a $10,000 Arts Council Writers Fellowship, given on the basis of excellence in writing, based on the story “Accidental Birds of the Carolinas,” in her new story collection by the same name. An author interview with D. G. Martin will be aired on UNC-TV’s Carolina Book Watch on Sept. 30 and Oct. 2. |
