. . . to Sandra Ann Winters, whose poem “Death of Alaska” won first prize and 1000 Euros in the Gregory O’Donoghue International Poetry Competition, sponsored by the Munster Literature Centre in Ireland. The Centre flew her to Cork, Ireland, where she read her winning entry February 16 at the Cork Spring Literature Festival 2011. Her poem will be published in the Irish poetry journal, Southword.
