Bestselling poet and memoirist Maya Angelou, former state Poet Laureate Kathryn Stripling Byer, and 18th-Century explorer and naturalist John Lawson will be inducted into the North Carolina Literary Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame is housed at the Weymouth Center. The ceremony is free and open to the public. Sally Buckner, Jaki Shelton Green, and Lee Smith—among many others—will make an appearance. |
