Zelda Lockhart’s workshop offers a way to chart a path to a reputable agent and reputable press, information on starting your own business to establish yourself as a respected independent publisher (self-publishing). You’ll also receive invaluable guidance for managing calls-for-submissions, managing your publishing career, and preparing your manuscripts for publication. Each participant receives a workbook that contains the unconventional truth about: writing time, reputable agents, reputable presses, and the business of self-publishing.

Hats Off! to Helen B. Aitken of Swansboro, NC, who won first place in nonfiction for the short story, “Wolf Man Howls into Manhood," in the South Carolina Writers’ Workshop 2012 Petigru Review. Ms. Aitken also is featured for her humorous creative nonfiction story, “Death for Lunch.”
