Cost: Free
With Tony Lindsay, author of Tattletale Roadhouse and Social Club, a collection of flash fiction and short stories published by Second Wind Publishing. Lindsay will give writers tips on ending stories with a punch and provide opportunities to practice. Admission is free and registration is not required. Participants should bring pen and paper.

Location: Forsyth County Central Public Library, 660 W. 5th St. (Winston-Salem)

Hats Off! to Rebecca McClanahan, whose "Liferower" was selected as one of three model essays (along with essays by David Sedaris and Brian Doyle) for the new edition of Creative Writing: Four Genres in Brief (Bedford/St. Martin's).
