Gary Carden, of the 2012 North Carolina Award for Literature, the highest civilian award given by the State, will perform scenes from his plays.

Location: The Weymouth Center for the Arts & Humanities, 555 E. Connecticut Ave. (Southern Pines)

Hats Off! to Heather Bell Adams, who received an Honorable Mention in the 2012 Fountainhead Bookstore Fiction Contest for her story, "The Yes Pile."
