Triangle jazz favorite John Brown, novelist Michael Parker and Elizabeth Hudson, editor of Our State magazine, will join an all-North Carolina troupe for another old-time variety show to benefit local nonprofit agencies. In the tradition of the Grand Ole Opry and Prairie Home Companion, the Murphey School Radio Show will feature music, comedy and readings by local musicians and writers. It is billed as “A Celebration of Triangle Wit, Lit and Music.”

Two shows: 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm.

Location: The Murphey School, 3729 Murphey School Rd. (Durham)
