Tony Brown of Greenville was named "Honorable Mention" for the Write to Win
contest in the September/October edition of Writers Journal for his short story
"The New Wall on Rue de la Maison. "It was his first submission to a writing contest.
Brown is a former writer/substitute editor/sports editor for the (Tarboro) Daily
Southerner and features and sports writer/substitute sports editor for the (New
Bern) Sun-Journal. He is currently at work on several novels, while continuing to
write short stories.
