Yet, Harry has a persistent and childlike need to retain him as his "best friend." He and his wife, Barbara, watch as Sam repeatedly generates silly and foolish projects and missteps that have zany and humorous results. He frequently expects Harry's help, but ignores his advice. One day, however, something happens that turns Sam's life around and his outlook is radically altered. Sensing this change in attitude, Harry -- better known by Sam as Hank -- also has an awakening.
