The ABCs have never been so twisted!
A high school custodian is found suffocated in plastic. Music teacher, Becky Paul, is beaten to death a few weeks later. Agent Logan Hunter joins Moss County detective Chase Railey on the cases, renting a room from Taryn Kosterman who lives in Trust, North Carolina, just north of Luck. Evidence is hard to come by as the murders of school system personnel continue and get increasingly gruesome. One name keeps coming up in connection with the deaths, and eventually Logan collects enough damning information to search the suspect's home. The killer is apprehended but quickly escapes to his truck. Logan dives into the truck bed as it takes off, wrecking, and throwing Logan and himself into a flooded river. They both go over the mountain in a sea of mud. Only one walks away. As final reports are completed, Logan realizes there is another killer and pursues him through treacherous switchbacks, ending at an abandoned gem mine. Logan mortally wounds the deranged man, ending the gory killing spree and bringing peace back to Trust. www.swhitfield.com Susan Whitfield lives in Dudley, NC with her husband, Doyle and near her two sons,
