Center for Business and Technical Writing

The Center for Business and Technical Writing provides on-site business, technical, and scientific writing workshops designed to meet the specific writing needs of any organization. Our programs can be tailored to all professionals, from administrative assistants to top-level engineers, scientists, and business executives.

Our workshop topics include but are not limited to:

  • Letters, reports, and memos
  • Proposals and contracts
  • Scientific and technical writing
  • Standard operating procedures
  • Document organization
  • Sentence and paragraph structure
  • Grammar, punctuation, and usage
  • Clarity, conciseness, and word choice

Hat's Off!

Karen Paul Holmes had a poem, "1961," accepted for Ceasura. Her poem, “Drawn Into Circles,” appears in the new Poetry Hickory Anthology. She will read at the Decatur Book Festival in Metro Atlanta (the largest independent book festival in the nation) on September 3 and was invited to give a poetry lecture and reading at the Campbell-Stone community in Atlanta in mid September.
