Spring Conference

Spring Conference 2007 was held at Elliott University Center in Greensboro, NC. The conference is over, but we have left this conference information on the site so that you can refer to it as a model of what our Spring Conference is like.

Keynote: Spring Conference 2007

Keynote Fred Chappell is a novelist and poet who teaches at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

Chappell was the Poet Laureate of North Carolina from 1997 to 2002. He attended Duke University. He has written thirty books in forty years, work that has been honored with dozens of prizes, including the Prix de Meilleur des Livres Etrangers and the Bollingen Prize in Poetry.

Chappell is a 2006 honoree in the North Carolina Literary Hall of Fame.
