THE ARTIST'S WAY, with Maureen Ryan Griffin
A Day-Long Workshop
- Saturday, April 16, 10:00 am - 5:00 pm (7 hours of instruction)
- Meets at the Network Library and Resource Center in Chapel Hill
- Bring food for a working lunch -- the workshop does not break for lunch
- $85 Network members / $105 non-members
- Limit: 12 participants
Are you ready to take on your writing dreams and goals? This workshop
based on Julia Cameron's popular book, The Artist's Way, is chockfull of
writing, collage, and other exercises to tap into your creativity.
Playful, yet profound. You'll learn (or deepen your understanding of)
practices and empowering beliefs leading to both an increased flow of
successful work and a renewed sense of joy in the writing process.
Bonus: you'll go home with at least one new draft of a poem, essay, or
short story.
Maureen Ryan Griffin , an award-winning poet and
non-fiction writer, lives in Charlotte with her husband Richard and
their children, Amanda and Dan. She has been teaching courses in writing
and creativity for over ten years through Queens University and many
other locations and was selected for the 1995 and 2003 Blumenthal
Readers and Writers Series sponsored by the North Carolina Writer's
Network. The author of two collections of poetry, This Scatter of
Blossoms and When The Leaves Are In The Water, she offers writing
workshops and classes, as well as individual coaching and critiquing
