Do you have an opinion about something that you want to share with others? Or a story from childhood that would fit perfectly in your favorite magazine. This workshop offers practical advice on selling story ideas to newspapers and magazines and having fun in the process. You'll get tips on how to get started, how to write a story query and how to locate the best opportunities for freelance stories. Bring in story ideas or essays you have written - maybe we can suggest a home for them.
Bridgette Lacy is a feature writer for the News & Observer and a freelance writer for Attache, Southern Living, the Washington Post and Merdian magazines.
