Cost: Free (coffee beverage and pastries will be available) Through a series of Creative Memories Workshops, Drumheller has assisted a wide array of writers and poets to write, edit, illustrate and self-publish their first 20-99 page soft cover signature book. His youngest workshop writer is nine and his most senior writer is 95. Most writers who attended the free of charge workshops just want to learn how to create and edit their first book. Most are encouraged to finish. They are pleased with the sense of control they have; the coaching they receive and the quality and presentation of finish product. They want help producing their first master draft of memoirs, historical fiction, travel ventures, personal and family portrait albums, poetry and children’s books. The workshops are free of charge but all participants are encouraged to set writing goals and make commitments to finish in a reasonable time period. To date, over 30 local writers have finished and self-published their first book. Some are happy to make multiple copies for family and friends. Others have produced and sold multiple copies through book store, gift shops and a variety of distribution points. Dates include:
- Monday, October 15, 5:30-7:00 pm
- Monday, November 5, 5:30-7:00 pm
- Monday, November 12, 5:30-7:00 pm
