Cost: $100
A study of discovery through the writing process with poetry that explores inner and outer landscapes – a process which allows poets to weave together the lyric with narrative, history with the present, the political with the personal, and the head with the heart. Main text: Nine Gates: Entering the Mind of Poetry by Jane Hirshfield. Includes instruction, educational materials, prompts, and workshop/critiques. Lunch on your own. Workshop led by Elizabeth Swann, MFA.
