A concert reading by author and musician Susan Ketchin and poet and fiction writer Marjorie Hudson will be held at the Joyful Jewel in downtown Pittsboro. Hudson and Ketchin, author of The Christ-Haunted Landscape, and a forthcoming memoir about southern music and the meaning of home, have taken life in the South and Hudson’s stories as inspiration to create a performance that weaves music into narrative and narrative into music. Marjorie will read from her story collection Accidental Birds of the Carolinas and Susan will perform original music inspired by images in Accidental Birds and by the beautiful "natural music" of the southern landscape around us.
