The North Carolina Botanical Garden in Chapel Hill will host a special interactive exhibit with the North Carolina Haiku Society. A good haiku is a brief letter to the world, a few words that capture something simple and important. Taking inspiration from the Weathergams of Lloyd Reynolds, we will hang 30 or more haiku in the Garden. Each haiku will be hand-written on a strip of plain brown paper and hung from trees and branches. Read these haiku as they flutter in the breeze, then write your own in response and hang it up to join others. |
