Cost: $10
Award-winning, Mebane, NC, poet and playwright, Debra Kaufman, will lead a workshop on the poetic line before her reading as a featured writer at October's Poetry Hickory. The workshop is limited to 16 participants. Kaufman's workshop will focus on creating effective line breaks and will look at such elements as enjambment, end-stops, sound, speed, rhythm, emphasis, and suspense. Participants are invited to bring a poem of their own to discuss. |
