Jaki Shelton Green and Richard Krawiec have collaborated on a play The Job. But you will only be able to see the play if it makes it into the second round. Here's why. The way Play Slam works is that 15 playwrights have written two 3-minute plays. All 15 have one play staged in the first round. (Most of them are really funny). The audience votes on their favorites and the 5 writers who receive the most votes have their second plays staged in the final round. After which the audience votes again. There is a $100 prize for the winning play, and should The Job win this the money will go to Jaki to help defray her healthcare costs. The Job is the second round play. The first round play is What Men Talk About When They Talk About Relationships—a conversation between two guys where 90 percent of the words they use are 'like' and 'umm'. In order for The Job to be staged for consideration, you must vote for What Men Talk About When They Talk About Relationships in the first round. |
