Elizabeth King Humphrey and Addy McCulloch, both professional editors, will introduce the different levels of editing and discuss common weaknesses in manuscripts that come across their desks, including problems with voice, characterization, and writing style. Participants will walk away with a better idea of what to look for when editing their own work, including a self-editing “checklist” and information about affordable, reliable resources.
