Hat's Off!

...to Bethany Chaney. Her  essay "Learning the Alphabet" has won the William Saroyan Society's Centennial Prize for Creative Nonfiction. http://www.williamsaroyansociety.org/clist2008.htmThe prize includes a $500 award, and the essay will be published in the fall publication of In the Grove. Also, the essay will be read over the air on KFCF-FM in Fresno at 8 pm on August 12th.
