Labyrinth, Libyan Odyssey
by David Bloom
When Johnny stumbles upon the secrets of an ancient riddle, he sets out to find the answers. With the help of a professor and his friend, Ismail, Johnny delves deeper into the past, never thinking of the consequences. But someone doesn’t want Johnny to succeed and they will do anything in their power to stop him. Set against a thrilling backdrop of oil fields, cultural clashes, and lost civilizations, Labyrinth is a fascinating odyssey through history and the minds of people - past and present. Why Libya we asked? "The antiquity of the land, as described by Herodotus the ‘Father of History’, and the majesty of the desert captured me during my two year assignment there," said Bloom. "I believed it was a setting worthy of a story and I carried the germ of that story within me for years." Author David Bloom earned Bachelor’s and master’s degrees during eight years of military service. Upon discharge, Bloom began a twenty-five year career with a major oil company and worked in locations from Libya to New York City. Today, David and his wife, Joan, live in Brevard, North Carolina and Naples, Florida.
