Bill Leslie of WRAL-TV in Raleigh, in his Carolina Conversations blog, is asking readers to nominate their Top Ten “most significant events in North Carolina history.”
Among the nominations so far: the founding of the Lost Colony, the Greensboro sit-ins, the Halifax Resolves, the Wright brothers’ first flight, the founding of RTP, and Johnston’s surrender at Bennett Place.
What events do y’all think are NC’s most significant?
