A Thank-You, and a Reminder

Thank you, all you lovers of literature who responded to the Network’s end-of-fiscal-year request for donations this week.  Each of you soon will receive the Official NCWN Donor Thank-You Letter to wave in the tax man’s face (just don’t tell him I said so), but in the meantime, please know how much we appreciate your support.

Don’t forget that today is the last day to register for the 2011 Squire Summer Writing Residency.  Registration closes at 5 pm.  Though the hotel is full, the workshops still have room, so please come join us for a fun and inspiring weekend in New Bern.

In honor of Independence Day, the offices of the North Carolina Writers’ Network will be closed Monday, July 4.  Have a good weekend and a happy Fourth of July.

Question. M father was a writer between 1946-197I and his stories were published in Russian immigrant newspapers and journals in England, New York, San Francisco and Buenos Aires. I collected, edited, translated and published two books–in English and in Russian– of my father’s short stories: “Voices From the Past:…Russia-Soviet Union: 1917-1971.” I could’t find anywhere the information on how to include them in Book Buzz section. Could you, please, let me know how it could be done.

    Thank You.

Just send a brief notice (no more than 150 words) by e-mail to Charles Fiore at charles@ncwriters.org, and he’ll post it on the website for you.
