Prompt Party! | PEN NC Piedmont | Blue Ridge Community College | Hendersonville
April 11 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pmFREE
Prompt Party is in partnership with the English Department at the Blue Ridge Community College and Hendersonville Theatre. Prompt Party is sponsored by the NC Arts Council and PEN America NC Piedmont.
Prompt Party! is a hilarious interactive workshop where participants group-off to create a short performance based on a shared prompt. The fast-paced, judgment-free environment encourages creativity without time for doubt and stresses collaboration as essential to community-building. Local actors, writers, and others will serve as facilitators to help shape the performance.
If you are looking for a way to “spark” your creativity and build community, this is it!
This event is part of #PENWriteNow, an initiative dedicated to engaging North Carolina’s traditionally underserved communities through a series of joyful, literary-focused interactive events. The series will create spaces for collective conversations and cultivate audiences often underrepresented by literary programming. PEN Write Now is sponsored by the PEN America NC Piedmont Chapter with support from the North Carolina Arts Council. Triad Health Project is a community partner.
PEN America “celebrate words, and fight for the right to be heard.” The PEN America NC Piedmont Chapter is part of PEN Across America. Learn more about PEN’s work at pen.org.
