Over the past year, many of you have listened to me praise the book The Other Dr. Gilmer: Two Men, a Murder, and an Unlikely Fight for Justice, the story of which was first featured on NPR’s This American Life and still remains one of the most popular episodes in the show’s history.
The book’s author, Dr. Benjamin Gilmer, and I will be doing an event together here in Wilmington on Thursday, May 11 at 6:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Resort at Wrightsville Beach. The event is free and open to the public. Please come if you can make it. This story is suspenseful, heartbreaking, empowering, and, most importantly, ongoing.
