Yetzirah Reading Series: Dan Alter, Rosebud Ben-Oni, Joy Ladin, and Sean Singer

Dan Alter’s poems and reviews have been published in journals including Field, Fourteen Hills, Pank, and Zyzzyva; his first collection My Little Book of Exiles came out March 1 from Eyewear Press. He has been a fellow of the Arad Arts Project, and is a member of the Community of Writers at Olympic Valley. Rosebud Ben-Oni is the author of several collections of poetry, including If This Is the Age We End Discovery (March 2021), which won the Alice James Award and was a Finalist for the National Jewish Book Award. Her work appears in POETRY, APR, Academy of American Poets, Tin House, Guernica, among others, and has been commissioned by the National September 11 Memorial, and by Paramount Network for a campaign for Jewish Heritage Month. Joy Ladin has published ten books of poetry, including National Jewish Book Award winner The Book of Anna, Lambda Literary Award finalists Transmigration and Impersonation, and newly published Shekhinah Speaks (Selva Oscura). She is also the author of a memoir, National Jewish Book Award finalist Through the Door of Life; and Lambda Literary and Triangle Award finalist The Soul of the Stranger. Sean Singer is the author of Discography (Yale University Press, 2002), winner of the Yale Series of Younger Poets Prize, selected by W.S. Yetzirah is a nonprofit literary organization dedicated to fostering and supporting a community space for Jewish poets, nourishing writers and readers of Jewish poetry now and for generations to come.
The organization is guided by a board of award-winning Jewish poets and educators. President of Yetzirah (and NCWN member) Jessica Jacobs is the co-founder with her wife Nickole Brown of SunJune Literary Collaborative, an education platform offering regular online workshops and generative classes.
