ONLINE—The North Carolina Writers' Network will host its fifth Online Open Mic on Tuesday,  March 24, at 7:00 pm

The public is welcomed and encouraged to join the event, to show support for our fellow writers and experience some much-needed "face-time."

Anyone with an internet connection can participate, or you can even read and listen over the phone!

To view (or simply listen) to the event on Tuesday, March 24, at 7:00 pm, go to https://zoom.us/j/326961596 (Meeting ID: 326 961 596) or dial-in by phone, 1-646-876-9923 (Meeting ID: 326 961 596).

Readers will be given five-minute time slots, first-come, first-served, up to sixteen readers. All genres welcome; this open mic is free for participants.

Registration is closed.

NCWN launched its online open mic series in 2017. These ninety-minute events have proven surprisingly effective in terms of bringing writers together from all over the state of North Carolina, from Flat Rock to Fayetteville, Asheville to Kill Devil Hills, and beyond.

Online open mics feel both intimate and new-fangled, but even if you feel a little shy about participating through this technology, don't be. Most of the other readers are probably feeling a bit shy—not to mentioned cooped up—too!

The fifth iteration is always a milestone. Perhaps this one more than most.

The non-profit North Carolina Writers’ Network is the state’s oldest and largest literary arts services organization devoted to all writers at all stages of development. For additional information, visit www.ncwriters.org.
