WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH—The North Carolina Writers' Network 2017 Fall Conference runs November 3-5 at the Holiday Inn Resort in Wrightsville Beach. While we're not ready to spill the beans on all the highlights quite yet, here's what we can tell you.
Registration will open Monday, August 28.
Bestselling author Wiley Cash will give the Keynote Address.
And early November is the perfect time to get some sand between your toes. With an average high of 68 degrees and a low of 45 degrees, the weather is warm enough to sit outside and enjoy a beverage writh writer friends you haven't seen in a while, but cool enough where you can enjoy this year's Pre-Conference Tailgate with Anna Lena Phillips Bell, a prose and poetry prompt walk through the charming beachside town of Wrightsville Beach.
The Holiday Inn Resort offers direct access to pristine beach. It's only minutes from Wilmington attractions such as the historic downtown, the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher, and the USS NC Battleship. Dine al fresco or choose a room with an ocean view. And enjoy complementary internet access, as well as the pool.
Fall Conference on the coast is always very well-attended: offerings such as Master Classes, the Critique Service, and Manuscript Mart fill up early. So if you're planning to register for one of these popular programs, you'll want to do so as soon as registration opens on August 28.
