MacDowell offers residencies of up to two months year-round to poets, fiction writers, and creative nonfiction writers on a 450-acre estate near Mt. Monadnock in Peterborough, New Hampshire. Residents are provided with a private room, work space, and all meals. Travel aid and personal expense grants are available based on need. For residencies from October 2021 through January 2022, using only the online application system submit 6 to 10 poems totaling no more than 15 pages or 15 to 25 pages of prose, a project proposal, and a letter of recommendation with a $30 application fee by April 15.
