Details
The Queer Creatives Retreat is open to writers of all genres and creatives of all types who identify as members of LGBTQIA+ communities. We also welcome folks who are questioning their gender or sexual orientation and those who are in solidarity with LGBTQIA+ communities. Our intention is to center LGBTQIA+ people at the retreat.
Throughout the weekend we will have in-person and online programming led by our experienced faculty for adults (18+) and young writers (ages 13-24). Whether you are working on a novel, short story, nonfiction, poetry, or hybrid creation, there will be something for everyone. In addition to writing workshops, you are invited to join us for free evening events including readings, a sliding scale community dinner, and a keynote address by Pikes Peak Poet Laureate, Ashley Cornelius.
Financial assistance is available.
Make sure that you sign up for our mailing list (select the Queer Creatives box) to be notified of updates and future programs and events. Stay connected by attending our online, monthly Queer Creatives meet-ups (free, but registration is required).
