The Adroit Journal is currently seeking applicants for the remote, volunteer staff positions of Email Marketing ManagerEvents Marketing ManagerSocial Media CoordinatorProse EditorProse ReaderPoetry Reader, and Development & Fundraising Manager.

The Email Marketing Manager will oversee the email marketing strategy and campaigns, updating and maintaining contact lists, designing and updating email templates, organizing email campaigns and the marketing calendar, and monitoring and analyzing campaign performance metrics.

The Event Marketing Manager will coordinate events at conferences, festivals, and virtual readings; maintain and update a calendar of events; and assist in logistics coordination for both in-person and virtual gatherings.

The Social Media Coordinator will manage and update The Adroit Journal‘s social media calendar, create visually appealing graphics and collateral for various platforms, and spearhead its presence on TikTok.

The Prose Editor will evaluate and select prose for publication, solicit submissions, and lead a small team of volunteer readers. Both fiction and nonfiction editorial candidates are encouraged to apply. This position is estimated to require four to five hours per week.

The Prose Reader will have the opportunity to review fiction and nonfiction submissions, voting and participating in discussions about pieces under consideration. This position is estimated to require 3.5 hours per week.

The Poetry Reader will review and evaluate poetry submissions, voting and participating in discussions about pieces under consideration. This position is estimated to require 3.5 hours per week.

The Development & Fundraising Manager will spearhead fundraising efforts by creating and executing our annual fundraising plan, writing and applying for grants, securing financial support from individuals, foundations, and corporations, cultivating and maintaining relationships with major donors, and developing strategies to engage a large sustained base of annual individual donors. This position reports to the Executive Editor and Editor-in-Chief and pays a small stipend.
