Vermont Studio Center: Fellowship Application (Deadline: October 1)

Vermont Studio Center (VSC) was founded by artists in 1984. We welcome writers and artists for residencies in Johnson, Vermont, and host online programs and events. Our mission is to provide studio residencies in an inclusive, international community, honoring creative work as the communication of spirit through form. Our buildings, many of them historic Vermont landmarks, overlook the Gihon River in the northern Green Mountains.

For almost four decades, our residency program has offered residents and the general public an opportunity to engage with global creative communities. For application information, go to https://vsc.slideroom.com/.

Today, VSC’s actions and policies remain grounded in the universal values of humanitarianism, compassion, respect, simplicity, and harmony. VSC embodies these values and integrates them into all aspects of the organization’s existence. The campus is preserved and developed in accord with environmental and ecological standards, and reflects Northern Vermont traditions of respect for nature, modest comfort, privacy, beauty, and an unhurried way of life.
