Words Without Borders Poetry Editor

Words Without Borders seeks a poetry editor to expand access to the world’s poetry in English translation while raising WWB’s visibility as a leading publisher of international poetry.

The poetry editor will commission and edit new poems in translation for its digital magazine of international literature. This new position will report to WWB’s editorial director, collaborate with the editorial and communications teams, and liaise with contributing poets and translators. A successful candidate will have demonstrated poetry expertise, a passion for international literature, and strong organizational and communication skills. 

This is a freelance, 10-hour-per-week, remote position requiring permission to work in the US and availability during the east coast workday. Salary is $25 per hour. Start date is September 1, 2023.
