Because I’m not just the director, I’m also a writer

Sorry, that was a weak attempt to play on the old Hair Club for Men commercials (“I’m not just the president, I’m also a client.”)

But because I am a writer, in addition to being the director of the N.C. Writers’ Network, I will be out of the office the rest of this week, promoting my new book, Voices of the American Revolution in the Carolinas.

I’ll be reading from the book at The Regulator Bookshop in Durham at 7 p.m. Wednesday, and at Quail Ridge Books in Raleigh at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.  I hope to see all of our Triangle members at these signings.

Meanwhile, a couple of links for your reading pleasure:

Facebook is wonderful for writers, except when it’s not.

And a novelist discusses what to do when an agent asks for “an exclusive” – which, in my book, is the good kind of problem to have.

I hope you all have a good week.  I’ll be back at my desk on Monday, and will respond to e-mails and voice mails then.
