Nashville, Tennessee, is the site of some of my fondest memories, and the home of some of my favorite people. Their Southern Festival of Books is, in my opinion, the best book festival in the country.
I’m sure y’all are all aware of the flooding Nashville and middle Tennessee have faced since this last weekend, and I hope y’all have all wondered how you could help.
Three Nashville-based authors have given you an answer: Do the Write Thing for Nashville is “raising money for flood relief in Nashville by auctioning off critiques and more from your favorite authors, agents, and editors.” They’re looking for writers to donate their books, their time, their expertise – whatever they’ve got to offer – to help folks who’ve lost everything to the Cumberland River.
Please check out their web site, and please do what you can to help our neighbors to the west.
