This Friday the 13th could be your lucky day.
That is the last day to apply for a scholarship to attend the Network’s 2023 Fall Conference, November 3 – 5 in Charlotte.
The Network offers both general scholarship aid and Mary Belle Campbell Scholarships for poets who teach K-12, but you must apply by this Friday, October 13, to be considered.
To apply for general scholarship aid, send your current CV and a statement of writing intent—describing your background and goals as a writer—to ed@ncwriters.org.
To apply for a Mary Belle Campbell Scholarship, send the following to ed@ncwriters.org:
- A curriculum vita or resume
- Proof of employment with a public school system or accredited school
- A statement of writing intent describing both what the applicant hopes to accomplish as a poet and what the applicant hopes to learn at the Fall Conference
- 10-12 poems of the applicant’s own creation (published or unpublished) that demonstrate their skill with and commitment to the genre.
Send questions about scholarships of any sort to ed@ncwriters.org.
Apply by Friday. Whatever your level of skill or experience, whatever your writing goals, we hope to see you at the Fall Conference.
