The Southern Book Prize recently announced its 2024 finalists, and we were glad to see NCWN member Daniel Wallace’s book, This Isn’t Going to End Well, on the list.
Wallace is the author of six novels, including Big Fish, which was adapted and released as a movie and a Broadway musical. His novels have been translated into over three-dozen languages. This Isn’t Going to End Well is his first memoir.
All books nominated for the Southern Book Prize are submitted by bookseller members of the Southern Independent Booksellers Alliance (SIBA) and have received enthusiastic reviews from Southern booksellers. The 18 finalists, six in each category, received the highest number of nominations and rave reviews, making these books a collection of the most beloved “handsells” of the year in fiction, nonfiction, and children’s/young adult literature.
The finalists make up the 2024 Southern Book Prize ballot. All readers who love Southern literature and Southern independent bookstores can vote for their favorites until February 1, 2024. Join the NCWN team in casting your votes today!
