New Bookstore in Selma, NC

Both Shelf Awareness and Cindy Brookshire, our Regional Rep for Johnston County, report that Story Keeper Books opened last month in downtown Selma, after almost a year as an online and pop-up store.

The Shelf said, “Owner Tammy Braglin carries a wide assortment of new and used books in her roughly 1,000-square-foot shop in Selma’s downtown. The shop held a grand opening celebration on August 5, and Braglin is starting to roll out more events this month, including book clubs and children’s storytime sessions. There is also a special scavenger hunt event planned for downtown Selma this month and, beyond that, Braglin hopes to start hosting authors and planning ‘tons of fun events.'”

Cindy said, “She would like visiting authors! If you know of any authors who might want to come to Selma, contact her – Tammy Braglin, storykeeperbookstore@gmail.com.”

Here at the Worldwide NCWN HQ we’re always glad to hear about a new independent bookstore. After all, there’s little point in being the Writingest State unless we’re also the Readingest State.
