Journalist and author Scott Huler is the new Piedmont Laureate, promoting literature and literacy in the Triangle and surrounding counties.
Congratulations to Scott, who “has written on everything from the death penalty to bikini waxing and from NASCAR racing to the stealth bomber for The New York Times, Washington Post, Philadelphia Inquirer and Los Angeles Times.” He is also the author of six books of creative nonfiction, most recently On the Grid: A Plot of Land, An Average Neighborhood, and the Systems That Make Our World Work.
