The Good Kind of Problem to Have

Last Friday night I stopped by Press 53’s ‘New Poetry Launch Party’ in downtown Winston-Salem . . . well, I should say I tried to stop by.  The event drew such a crowd that the best I could do was stand just outside the door and strain to hear.

While that stinks for me, personally, it’s a great thing for the poets featured – many of whom are Network members (see below) – and for poetry itself, in this state and all over the place.  I can’t help but feel good seeing that kind of support for North Carolina’s poets, even while standing in the hall.

So congratulations to Press 53, to Winston-Salem, to North Carolina, and to the poets featured Friday night: Joseph Mills, Malaika King Albrecht, John Thomas York, and Joseph Bathanti.
