“The reading you save may be your own”

I make no secret that I am biased in favor of independent bookstores; in my experience, indie booksellers often put the “emerge” into “emerging writers.”  On the blog for Porter Square Books in Cambridge, MA, author Leslie Brunetta makes the case for supporting your local indie bookstore and the readings they host.

One of the many services the Network offers its members is the weekly ‘Member Readings’ e-blast, letting thousands of people across the state know when and where Network writers will read from their work, and giving us no excuse for not supporting our fellow writers and Network members whenever we can.

On a more playful note, Flavorwire offers “Literary Games for Bored Book Nerds.”   Y’all have fun.
