Why You Should Attend the 2012 Spring Conference: #4

Throughout the week, we’ll be counting down the Top 5 reasons you should register for the North Carolina Writers’ Network 2012 Spring Conference in Greensboro, NC, on Saturday, April 28.

Reason Number 4?

Where else will one quick stroll let you hob-nob with publishers, literary magazine editors, and some of the most esteemed literary organizations in the state?

We have an exciting list of exhibitors this year, including publishers Bridle Path Press, Bull City Press, Carolina Wren Press, Main Street Rag, Press 53, and Time Treasures Books. This is your chance to talk to their staff face to face and hear what kind of books they’re looking to publish. Not only that, but this is one-stop shopping for purchasing books by some of North Carolina’s most brilliant authors.

Representatives of the North Carolina Literary Review, Pembroke Magazine, and Raleigh Review will also be on-hand, which creates a great opportunity to hear who they’re reading and to pick up a handful of review copies so you know which piece of your own writing might be the best fit!

As if that wouldn’t keep you busy enough, BOOMARKS Festival of Books will be “in the house,” along with the North Carolina Poetry Society, the Poetry Council of North Carolina, and Poet.she, a group dedicated to giving female poets and performers a voice and exposure in the community.

This is where it’s happening, folks! Sign up now.
