The Mississippi Library Association has awarded Kelly Mustian their 2023 Author of the Year Award for Fiction.
Mark Havlik was awarded first place in the 2023 William Faulkner Literary Competition for his short story "Go Gentle into That Night."
Paul Jones has a suite of four poems in the current release of Salvation South, as well as a poem, “Dawn on the Watermen’s Dock,” that first appeared in North Carolina Literary Review, in the current Ocracoke Observer. His poem, “Talking in the Dark,” which first appeared in both PineStraw and Walter, was featured in the Friends of Gaston County Public Library Newsletter – FOCUS. Silver Birch Press’ Seasonings and Spices Series includes his poem, “Government Cheese and Caraway Seeds.”
