Registration for the Network’s 2023 Fall Conference will open at noon Friday, August 25, at ncwriters.org.
That evening writers can come celebrate and learn more about the Fall Conference when NCWN executive director Ed Southern joins Charlotte Lit for their Fall Kick-Off and Open Mic from 5—7 pm at Rosie’s Wine Garden on North Davidson Street.
Charlotte Poet Laureate—and Fall Conference faculty member—Jay Ward will emcee the kick-off.
The NCWN Fall Conference will be November 3—5 at the Hilton Charlotte University Place, and will feature a keynote address by Tommy Tomlinson; panel discussions on “Writing as a Vehicle for Social Change” and “Digging Up Buried Stories”; a Manuscript Mart with agents and editors; a Saturday Night Literary Mystery; and classes led by John Amen, Bryn Chancellor, Morri Creech, Angelo Geter, Patrice Gopo, Aaron Gwyn, A.E. Hines, Misha Lazzara, Betsy Thorpe, the Charlotte Readers Podcast, and many more.
